An operating system or OS is the general controller of the computer. It makes the computer easier to deal with and more user friendly. The most common OS systems are: Android, IOS, Windows and Linux. The operating system has three main functions, they manage the computers resources, provide a user interface and they provide services for application software. Managing computer resources means giving the CPU the correct amount of bandwidth or distributing memory correctly, this is vital for the computer to work. The user interface makes the computer more user friendly and the providing a application means supporting applications downloaded.
